Privacy policy
What we collect, why, where it is stored, and how to ask us to change or delete it.
1. Who we are
FEM Structures ("we", "us") provides civil and structural engineering services, Tekla Structures tools such as Drawing Color Studio, and online engineering calculators. You can reach us at sales@femstructures.com or on WhatsApp at +964 770 500 8002.
2. What we collect and why
On this website
- Contact form and product-updates sign-up: your name, email address, the topic and your message. We use them only to answer you and, if you subscribe, to send product news. The message is delivered to our team by email and is not stored on the website itself.
- Visits: our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not follow you across websites.
- Calculators: everything you type into an online calculator stays in your browser. It is not sent to us. If you use the share link, your inputs are part of the web address only.
In our desktop tools (for example Drawing Color Studio)

The drawings, models and files you work on in Tekla are not sent to us.
We use this information to run and secure the licensing service, to prevent misuse, to give support, and to send you the notices you ask for. Our legal bases are performing our contract with you (or the steps before it) and our legitimate interest in protecting our software.
3. Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, security and analytics.
- Google (Firebase / Google Cloud) — stores license and trial records and runs the licensing service. Data is stored in the United States (us-central1).
- Telegram — new trial requests are forwarded to our team as a private notification (name, email, machine identifier, computer name, Windows user name, app version).
- An email delivery provider — carries messages from the contact form to our team.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
4. How long we keep it
- License and trial records: for as long as the license or trial exists, and afterwards for as long as we need them for support, accounting and to stop repeat trial abuse.
- Daily usage counters: about 180 days.
- Security and anomaly logs: about 90 days.
- Contact messages: as long as needed to deal with your request and keep a record of it.
5. International transfers
Our providers operate in several countries, including the United States. By using our tools and website you understand that your data can be processed there. We rely on our providers' standard contractual and security commitments.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a purpose you object to. Write to sales@femstructures.com and tell us the email address, license key or machine identifier concerned. If you are in a place with a data protection authority, you may also complain to it.
7. Security
All communication with our licensing service uses HTTPS. License records are protected by access rules that only our server and our administrators can use. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to keep your data safe.
8. Children
Our website and tools are meant for professionals and are not directed at children.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Significant changes will also be announced in our release notes.
