Terms of use

The rules for using our website, our software licenses and our online calculators.

1. Agreement

By using femstructures.com, installing our software or using our online calculators you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use them.

2. Software licenses

  • Trial: a free trial lasts 14 days, includes all features and needs no payment. After that the software stops working until a license key is entered.
  • Subscription (monthly or yearly): the license is valid for the paid period and can be cancelled at any time; it then ends at the end of the period already paid.
  • Perpetual license: you may use the version you bought, and updates within the same major version, without further payment.
  • Seats: a license is for one computer unless you bought more seats. To move it to another computer, use Deactivate in the License window, then activate on the new computer.
  • You may not copy, share or resell a license key, and you may not circumvent, remove or tamper with the licensing or the protection of the software. We may revoke a license that is used in breach of these terms.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars on our product pages and may change for future purchases. Payment arrangements are agreed when you order. Refund requests are considered case by case; contact us as soon as possible.

4. Updates and support

We provide support by email and WhatsApp on a reasonable-effort basis and publish updates from time to time. We do not promise that the software will work with every Tekla Structures version or configuration.

5. Engineering responsibility

Our software and online calculators are tools that support, but never replace, the judgement of a qualified engineer. Results are preliminary, depend on the inputs and assumptions you provide, and must be checked before they are relied on in a design, a drawing or construction. You are responsible for the designs you produce.

6. No warranty

The website, software and calculators are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that they are error-free or uninterrupted.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, FEM Structures is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from decisions made using the software or calculators. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product concerned in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Intellectual property and trademarks

The software, calculators, website content and the FEM Structures name and logo belong to FEM Structures. Tekla and Tekla Structures are trademarks of Trimble Solutions Corporation; we are an independent developer and are not affiliated with or endorsed by Trimble.

9. Ending these terms

You can stop using our products at any time. We may suspend a license or access that breaches these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example 5 to 8) continue after that.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions: sales@femstructures.com. These terms are governed by the laws that apply where FEM Structures is established, except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
